Compensation Statement
At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00

We are seeking a detail-oriented Proposal Writer/Marketing Coordinator to join our team in supporting proposal development and business development initiatives. This role requires a skilled communicator who can work independently, think critically, and contribute quality written content in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Proposal Support (Primary Focus):
- Write and edit proposal content with attention to technical accuracy and persuasive messaging, including proposal types such as RFPs, RFIs, white papers, and other proposal-related packages as required
- Write and edit to evaluation criteria (Section M) and customer priorities/hot buttons, ensuring messaging aligns to stated assessment factors
- Apply and enforce proposal style guides and templates (voice/tone, terminology, acronyms, and formatting standards) for consistency across contributors
- Format proposal documents to ensure professional presentation and compliance with submission requirements
- Maintain disciplined version control and configuration management practices (file naming, check-in/check-out, controlled drafts) to reduce production risk and rework
- Support the Proposal Manager with coordination tasks, such as meeting invites and data call tracking throughout the proposal lifecycle
- Review and refine proposal materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with customer requirements
- Collaborate with capture managers, subject matter experts (SME), program managers, and business line leads to ensure accuracy of technical response
- Participate in and support color team reviews (e.g., Pink/Red/Gold), including incorporation of reviewer comments, adjudication support, and action-item tracking to improve proposal quality and compliance
- Leverage AI tools to enhance proposal quality and efficiency
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the proposal and tracked opportunities
Business Development Support:
- Document and maintain BD policies, procedures, and best practices
- Coordinate logistics for trade shows, conferences, and industry day events (preparation and senior staff support)
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications department on marketing materials as needed
- Organize and support development of RFI responses, white papers, and unsolicited proposals
- Maintain organized repositories of BD materials and proposal resources
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in proposal or technical writing
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience with proposal tracking, compliance matrices, and SharePoint workflows
- CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) awareness
- Strong critical thinking skills with ability to work independently toward task completion
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities
- Ability to work with SMEs and translate technical input into clear, customer-focused proposal narrative
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and adopt AI tools for workflow enhancement
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments and meet tight deadlines
- Must be U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Shipley or APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) methodologies
- Experience with federal government proposals
- Familiarity with proposal development processes and compliance requirements
- Background in marketing coordination or business development support
- Experience coordinating events or industry engagement activities
Bonus:
- Experience with graphic design software, including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
