We seeking an early-career Field Test Engineer to support a counter-UAS program. This role focuses on hands-on system support, maintenance, and testing activities under the guidance of senior engineers and field leads.
The engineer will assist with:
• System assembly
• Troubleshooting
• Test event support
• Data collection and reporting
System Support
• Assist in UAS assembly and teardown
• Perform basic maintenance and inspections
• Conduct system checks using standard procedures
• Support repair of electronic and mechanical components
Test Event Support
• Assist with system setup at test ranges
• Operate support equipment during test events
• Monitor system performance during launches or tests
• Collect test data and logs
Troubleshooting
• Help diagnose basic system or equipment issues
• Replace components and verify system functionality
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers
Logistics and Documentation
• Support packing, shipping, and inventory of equipment
• Maintain maintenance logs and configuration records
• Assist with technical reports and test summaries
REQUIRED
1. Bachelor’s degree in STEM field
2. 1–4 years of relevant experience
3. Active Secret clearance required on day 1
4. U.S. citizenship required
5. Approximately 25% travel
DESIRED qualifications:
1. Military technical training
2. Experience with UAS or electronic systems
3. Familiarity with test equipment
4. Basic technical writing skills
5. Experience working in field or customer environments
