About The Role
Peraton is seeking a highly qualified Product Owner / IC Liaison (Product Architect) to support mission-critical analytics and intelligence systems for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
This role combines product ownership, enterprise solution architecture, and intelligence community (IC) liaison responsibilities. The selected candidate will serve as a strategic and technical bridge between mission stakeholders and Agile delivery teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned with CBP operational objectives.
The role requires strong technical depth, sound judgment, business acumen, and collaborative leadership to translate complex intelligence and targeting requirements into high-value, enterprise-grade capabilities supporting border security and national security missions.

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

About The Role

Product Ownership
- Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and measurable outcomes aligned to intelligence and analytics mission priorities.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog based on mission value, risk, technical feasibility, and stakeholder input.
- Elicit, analyze, and translate intelligence and operational requirements into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Serve as the primary liaison between mission users, Intelligence Community partners, and Agile development teams.
- Monitor operational performance, adoption metrics, and intelligence impact; drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure product increments deliver measurable operational effectiveness and analytic value.
- Design and document end-to-end enterprise architectures addressing functional and non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, availability, resiliency, and security).
- Ensure alignment with DHS and CBP enterprise architecture standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, integration approaches, and modernization strategies.
- Provide architectural governance throughout development, integration, deployment, and sustainment.
- Conduct impact analyses for enhancements, integrations, and system modifications.
- Integrate secure-by-design and zero-trust architecture principles across solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and technical liaison between CBP and Intelligence Community stakeholders.
- Translate cross-domain and interagency intelligence requirements into compliant system capabilities.
- Ensure solutions support intelligence data sharing, targeting workflows, and analytic integration needs.
- Facilitate collaboration between security, compliance, and operational leadership teams.
- Partner with Scrum Masters, Developers, QA, Security, and DevOps teams to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery.
- Participate in Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Provide architectural guidance during refinement and release planning.
- Support ATO activities, risk assessments, security reviews, and compliance audits.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and governance artifacts.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; 12 years with a HS doplima/equivalent can be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years of experience in IT product management, solution architecture, or related enterprise technology roles.
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) and product lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale IT solutions.
- Experience with:
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- API-driven architectures and microservices
- Enterprise system integration patterns
- Strong written and verbal communication skills supporting federal stakeholders.
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain CBP BI suitability
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications such as:
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
- AWS or Azure Solutions Architect
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with federal security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Knowledge of enterprise data architecture and intelligence data integration strategies.
- Experience supporting DHS, CBP, or other federal agencies.
