About The Role
Peraton is hiring a Service Desk/Network Operation Center Lead to support a Federal government customer. This individual would be the lead responsible for the Tier 1 support to a government customer. The candidate's team is the first point of customer contact for network related operational issues. Typical Tier 1 support includes, but is not limited to, requests related to COTS hardware failures, software failures, application questions, installations, relocations, turn-ins, access rights, hardware/software loaners, network communication failures, new user requirements, temporary computer product check-outs, and other computer related requirements.
This position is fully on-site M-F in the Baltimore-Metropolitan area.

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience. Bachelor's degree should be in one of the following fields of study: Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity. In lieu of a degree in one of these fields of study, an additional four years of relevant experience or specialized training may be considered.
- At least four years of management level responsibility.
- Clearance Requirement: Active TS and SCI eligible.
- Certification Requirement:
- Active CompTIA Security+
- Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
- Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
- Knowledge of national and international laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
- Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge of specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses.
- Knowledge of cloud computing service models Software as Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
- Knowledge of cloud computing deployment models in private, public, and hybrid environment and the difference between on-premises and off-premises environments.
