Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,200 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo will serve a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

The Amazon Leo for Government Marketing team is looking for a talented, results-oriented individual to lead upper funnel marketing campaigns to State, Local and Education public sector markets. This role is responsible for developing the strategy and execution of brand marketing campaigns across multiple channels and locales. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter and able to work effectively in a matrixed organization. You must have a track record of building and executing effective large-scale marketing campaigns that drive awareness, consideration and demand.

Key job responsibilities
* Lead the strategy, development, and execution of integrated multi-channel campaigns designed to drive awareness, consideration and demand for Project Kuiper.
* Coordinate campaigns to public sector markets.
* Collaborate with Marketing Intelligence teams to monitor brand health metrics and business impact, and regularly report on performance up to Director level, adjusting strategically and tactically as needed.
* Collaborate across a dynamic ecosystem of stakeholders from multiple functions (business, insights and measurement, creative, and other marketing teams) at a local, regional and global level.
* Partner with external agencies in support of world-class marketing campaigns creation and execution.
* Leverage internal Amazon marketing channels, as well as external marketing channels.
* Manage budget with accountability for campaign return on investment (ROI).
* Develop mechanisms for scalability across multiple marketplaces.
* Ensure clear, consistent, and frequent communication with stakeholder teams to outline strategy, tactics, goals, and performance for campaigns.

Security Clearance: This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance of TS/SCI.

A day in the life
Strategic Planning
• Develop comprehensive marketing strategies for state, local government, and K-12/higher education segments
• Identify market opportunities and create targeted campaigns that address specific SLED sector challenges
• Collaborate with sales teams to align marketing initiatives with revenue goals and pipeline development

Campaign Execution
• Create and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns including digital, events, content marketing, and media
• Develop sector-specific messaging that resonates with government decision-makers, IT leaders, and education administrators
• Coordinate content, strategy and participation in SLED-focused conferences, trade shows, and industry events

Content Development
• Produce case studies, white papers, and solution briefs demonstrating value for SLED customers
• Create presentations and materials that support sales, business development and partner marketing initiatives
• Develop thought leadership content on topics relevant to government modernization and education technology

Stakeholder Engagement
• Build relationships with industry associations, government organizations, education consortiums, and contract managers
• Partner with sales, product, and partner teams to ensure consistent messaging and effective go-to-market execution
• Engage with existing customers to develop reference stories and testimonials

Performance Analysis
• Track campaign performance metrics and ROI across SLED segments
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to refine strategies
• Report on marketing effectiveness and provide recommendations for optimization

Basic Qualifications

- 8+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross functional marketing programs
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- 5+ years of government marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
- Experience in online advertising, marketing, sales or digital media
- Experience in Telecom or Networking

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
