Install, configure, and validate avionics systems on unmanned aerial platforms. Responsibilities include functional testing of servo operations via MAVLink, configuring flight controllers and autopilot systems, validating sensor integration, and performing pre-flight systems checks. Diagnose and resolve avionics faults using ground control software and hardware diagnostic tools. Support field operations and on-site testing events as needed. Document all test results and discrepancy reports in accordance with program requirements.
Minimum Secret clearance required (TS/SCI preferred). Associate's degree in Avionics, Electronics, or related field — or equivalent military/industry experience. Hands-on experience with MAVLink, ArduPilot, PX4, or similar autopilot ecosystems required. Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and avionics diagnostic tools. Experience with servo calibration and actuator testing. FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate or military avionics MOS (e.g., Army 15F, Air Force 2A6) a plus.
