Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as an Engineer Guidance Navigation Control located in Salt Lake City, UT.
To be successful, the engineer must demonstrate experience on guidance, navigation, and control systems (or similar complexity systems), collaboration skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This position may be filled at a level 2 or level 3 depending on candidate experience.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Develop, implement, verify and test algorithms and software and simulation tools to perform guidance, navigation and control of aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, launch vehicles and a variety of other end items.
- Process development and maintenance over test operations.
- Develop, improve, and maintain test procedures
- Continuing process improvement based on data driven metrics.
- Interface with and build relationships across organizations in Salt Lake City, Woodland Hills and other NGC sites.
- Represent the organization to program office and external customer as needed.

- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with MATLAB.
- Experience with standard Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with database queries techniques.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Basic Qualifications for the Engineer Guidance Navigation Control 3:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or directly related STEM discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, OR 3 or more years of relevant work experience with a Masters degree in engineering or a related STEM discipline.
- Experience collaborating with teams and/project leadership.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with MATLAB.
- Experience with standard Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with database queries techniques.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required.

- Experience in a high regulatory environment such DoD, FAA or FDA.
