Description:LM Aero SE MBSE Team accelerates the modernization of systems engineering processes, practices, and tools to support wide-spread adoption of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and cross-functional integration. In this position, you will leverage your Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) experience, implement safety-critical threads, and lead MBSE initiatives in PLMs and Cameo to drive complex system design efforts. You will use MBSE tools and emerging solutions to capture system requirements, facilitate discussions, understanding of system usage, and enhance a culture of model-based designs. You will engage other Systems Engineers in a broader understanding of modeling and assist them in developing Systems Engineering work products. As a members of this team you will be resource to programs to enable efficient and effective implementation of MBSE.
Specific responsibilities of this role include:
Engaging programs on short-term assignments to initiate & guide model-based systems engineering implementation.
Tracking product development into the Systems Engineering Modernization roadmap, identifying risk & opportunities, guiding digital-transformation initiatives.
Developing reference architectures for key product lines for use as a basis of program architectures, including the Aeronautics Reference Architecture (ARA) and a Government Reference Architecture (GRA) to include interface-control modeling.
Exploring and implementing advanced modeling features to integrate data across functional lines, including requirements elicitation/traceability in PLMs, metric gathering, and safety-critical thread development.
Leading cross-business-area Model-Based Systems Engineering initiatives.
Providing training, lunch-and-learns, and one-on-one coaching regarding MBSE implementation, building SE training material, and contributing to MBSE workforce-development sessions.
Basic Qualifications:
Systems Architecture experience (e.g., ARA andn GRA development, interface-control modeling).
Strong Systems Engineering background with hands-on practice in requirements, analysis, decomposition, and verification.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Engineering or STEM.
Active Secret-level DoD Security Clearance.
Desired Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication through risk/opportunity management plans, technical reports, and training curricula for a variety of internal and external audiences.
INCOSE Certified Professional (ASEP, CSEP, ESEP)
Proficiency in SysML, Cameo, DOORS, Rational, and other MBSE-related tools
Experience with the Siemens Xcelerator and/or Dassault 3DX PLM ecosystems
Demonstrated ability to drive closure and resolve complex, large-scale technical issues/challenges
Experience with digital-engineering procurement
Experience in developing strategies and translating them into action and results
Lead experience in LM Aero's Digital Transformation and SE modernization roadmaps.
Customer experience and exposure across Lines of Business, including direct support to F-35 and ADP.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
