Description:At Lockheed Martin Aeronautics we are taking innovation to the next level, designing the most advanced air vehicles and aircraft and cutting edge of technology. We are seeking a Systems Engineering Principal to join the Systems Engineering Enterprise Transformation Team to represent Aero in cross-business-area (1LMX) initiatives while leading Aero SE Enterprise Modernization. In this role you will strategize, lead, and accelerate novel transformation efforts across the enterprise, ensuring alignment with Corporate initiatives. You will provide technical oversight, direction, and performance management for SE platforms, partnering with Operations, Infrastructure, IT, functional teams, and lifecycle stakeholders to embed SE practices throughout the product lifecycle, and lead high-visibility, critical-impact projects alongside senior subject-matter experts. The position also requires collaborating with counterparts across the broader Lockheed Martin enterprise to develop shared strategies, roadmaps, and technical direction, ultimately driving cross-BA digital excellence and delivering measurable cost-savings, efficiency gains, and enhanced capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Lead enterprise-level strategic initiatives and improvement activities in support of Aero goals and in alignment with Cross-BA standardization efforts
Lead the XVE for Systems Engineering to standardize business processes across the enterprise
Represent and act for Aero with the 1LMX team to solve strategic problems and help shape the future of Aero and LM
Responsible for common Digital Thread definition, from Requirements Functional Logical and Physical for product data definition throughout out the lifecycle
Identify risks, issues, and opportunities associated to the success and growth of programs
Resolve programmatic and technical issues across programs, identify risks, and help document mitigation plans
Fosters innovation and risk measures to push delivery of advanced capabilities to drive affordability
Promotes E&T affordability and effectiveness through increased use of common tools and processes
Basic Qualifications:
Master Degree in a System Engineering or related discipline
Proficiency in XVE (Siemens Xcelerator), DOORS, DNG, SysML, Cameo and other MBSE related tools
Requirements Management and System Architecture experience
Strong Systems Engineering background
Demonstrated DX/Modernization experience leading teams in person AND virtually
PLM Configuration and deployment experience
Product Integration Experience
Solution Architect Experience
Must be a US Citizen
Active Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Proven experience in developing strategies and translating them into action and results
• Demonstrated ability to drive closure and resolve complex and large-scale technical issues/challenges
• Experience with Customer Relations
• Experience leading team members, peers, suppliers, and internal/external customers
