Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technical field.
Experience:
- DOD SECRET Clearance: TS/SCI preferred.
- 10 years of progressive experience with 5 years' experience interacting in a business development role.
- Shipley certified or experience implementing the Shipley business development approach preferred.
- Experience supporting business development in a small business environment.
- Experience marketing and selling products and services to the Federal Government/DOD.
- Experience managing business opportunity identification and capture activities through proposal delivery.
- Knowledgeable about C5ISR systems, with specific focus to Marine Corps, Navy, Army and Intelligence communities.
- Experience supporting post RFP activities to include RFP analysis, proposal management and delivery.
- Experience and the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
- Experience and the ability to effectively use Beta.SAM.gov, to include Contract Data Reports (FPDS Reports) and Contract Opportunities (FBO).
- Charleston, SC or National Capital Region candidates preferred.
Job Description:
- Travel to support BD opportunities, up to 25% of time.
- Engage directly with prospects and clients, seeking new and expanded business relationships.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and apply best business practice business development techniques and processes.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy designed to achieve company growth objectives.
- Shape opportunities to VNE's advantage.
- Utilize a myriad of business development techniques and processes to increase VNE probability of contract win.
- Ensure the internal SharePoint tracking system catalog opportunities and are able to report on-demand statuses.
- Routinely present opportunity assessments and present Bid/No-Bid decision briefs to VNE leaders and managers.
- Assess, modify (as needed), and execute VNE capture plans to establish conditions sufficient to win future contracts.
- Update VNE marketing materials; to include, trifolds, presentations, and website marketing content.
- Develop, present, and maintain the Business Development fiscal budget.
- Process Non-Disclosure (NDA) Agreements.
- Coordinate with VNE Business Operations, Business Resources, and Contracts directorates to ensure proposal integrates best capture and win strategies.
- Manage company proposal delivery staff to include finance, technical contributors, review, publication, and delivery
Essential Duties of the Job:
- Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
- Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
- Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
- Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
- Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face
