- You will oversee nursing care for adult and pediatric DoD beneficiaries, including active duty, retirees, and their families, at the LTC David Cabrera University Family Health Center, a Walter Reed National Military Medical Center branch clinic.
- You will provide direct nursing care to ambulatory patients in the family medicine specialty clinic.
- You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement safe, efficient, and cost-effective patient care.
- You will plan and assign work for subordinates, setting priorities and schedules. You will also evaluate their performance and provide instruction on work and administrative matters.
- You will interview candidates for unit positions and recommend their appointment, promotion, or reassignment.
- You will hear and resolve employee complaints, issue minor disciplinary actions like warnings, and recommend further action for more serious cases.
- You will identify and arrange for the developmental and training needs of employees.
- You will determine staffing needs and bed use based on patient acuity.
