Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior VMWare Cloud Foundation (VCF) Consultant to support the U.S. Air Force at Hanscom AFB, MA. This engagement will focus on the design and deployment of VMWare Cloud Foundation (VCF) within a secure, mission-critical environment.
The selected consultant must possess deep architectural expertise in VCF and demonstrate the ability to lead end-to-end design and implementation efforts. This role requires operating at a senior level within a highly classified environment and collaborating closely with government engineering and security teams. This is a fully onsite position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, design and deployment of VMWare Cloud Foundation (VCF)
- Develop detailed VCF design documentation, including:
- Management and workload domain architecture
- VSphere, vSAN and NSX configurations.
- Network and storage integration plans
- Execute VCF deployment and configuration using SDDC Manager
- Validate system readiness, performance baselines and operational integrity
- Coordinate with security teams to ensure compliance with DoD Security requirements and STIG standards.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues
- Support testing, validation and operations acceptance processes
- Provide documentation, diagrams and operational handoff materials
- Deliver knowledge transfer to Air Force technical staff to ensure long-term platform sustainability
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
- Security+ (Sec+) certification (DoD 8570 compliant)
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- 8+ years of enterprise VMware experience
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) design and deployment
- vSphere architecture
- vSAN configuration and lifecycle management
- NSX integration within VCF environments
- SDDC Manager deployment workflows
- Experience designing and deploying VCF in secure federal or DoD environments
- Strong understanding of network, storage, and compute integration within SDDC architectures
- Experience working onsite within classified environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
