Koniag Professional Services, LLC a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a IHS Community Crisis Response Clinical Consultant to support KPS and our government customer. The position is remote. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

Koniag Government Services seeks a Clinical Consultant who will lead the development and execution of a mortality data preview for the Indian Health Service (IHS). This role is responsible for performing an analysis for the years 2018 to 2021 of American Indian and Alaska Native mortality in the assigned communities to determine the causes of death and the activities and circumstances leading to those deaths, identifying notable trends and potential insights for planning interventions. Responsible for performing asset mapping within the same assigned mortality review communities with detailed analysis of the entity-based service protocols, including integrated assessments and case management of clients, service agreements, and the history of service supply and service demand on protocols and their respective entities.

Position Overview:
  • Perform chart reviews in the IHS electronic health record
  • Organizing and leading workgroups in the analysis of the data collected
  • Writing a detailed report discussing the findings and recommendations
  • Co-leading the Asset Mapping workgroups
  • Traveling to the site to interview stakeholders/community partners
  • Adhering to IHS and HIPAA policy


Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Social Work, or a related clinical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated experience writing reports using evidence-based practice.
  • Strong writing and editing skills for diverse formats and audiences.
  • Familiarity with federal health programs and culturally competent communication.
  • Experience with digital content management systems, including SharePoint and Teams.
  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Strong understanding of suicide prevention best practices.
  • Ability to map and manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, and possess strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly organized, systematic, and proactive in delivering/preparing materials and meeting client expectations within a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience working in a complex team-based environment in a consulting-type organization


Additional Information:
  • Travel may be required.
  • The successful candidate will be passionate about improving mental health services for American Indian and Alaska Native communities.


Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • 10 years of related experience preferred
  • Stakeholder engagement and facilitation of workgroups
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Translate complex health topics into accessible language
  • Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity
  • Adapt to evolving priorities and feedback from federal stakeholder
  • Knowledge of working with Native American or Alaskan Native populations
  • Experience in Suicide Prevention, Electronic Health Records, and Federal Government Consulting
  • Familiarity with the Kumu relationship mapping program is a benefit, but not required
