AWS Cloud Technical Advisor

Blu Omega is seeking an AWS DevOps advisor to serve as a trusted technical advisor, leveraging deep knowledge of cloud architecture, primarily AWS and DevOps to help with solution strategy insights, alignment, and delivery. This role requires applying such expertise to track technical efforts, issues, and initiatives while facilitating collaboration between business clients, contracting stakeholders, and IT teams. The role combines technical knowledge, business analysis skills, and strong communication abilities to drive efficiency and operational success.

This position is advisory in nature and does not involve direct engineering or implementation. Instead, the integrator focuses on enabling informed decision-making, coordinating technical initiatives, and ensuring cloud and DevOps efforts align with business priorities, standards, and best practices.
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders. The integrator tracks initiatives, dependencies, and risks while facilitating collaboration across business clients, contracting partners, and IT delivery teams to drive efficient, and well-governed outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Translate complex AWS cloud and DevOps solutioning into clear, business-relevant insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Serve as a technical liaison between engineering/development teams, business clients, leadership, and external partners.
• Interpret architectural designs, technical dependencies, and DevOps workflows to support planning, prioritization, and risk management.
• Provide advisory guidance on cloud and DevOps best practices, standards, and solution trade-offs without performing hand-on implementation.
• Develop a deep understanding of program goals and future needs to proactively guide next steps and maintain delivery momentum.
• Track technical initiatives, milestones, dependencies, risks, and impacts across cloud-based and DevOps-focused efforts.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure shared understanding of technical scope, constraints, and outcomes.
• Support documentation of technical solution approaches, business requirements, and process improvements in plan, accessible language.
• Lead meetings and working session with clear agendas, translating technical discussions into documented decisions and action items
• Prepare client-ready presentations, reports, white papers, and briefings that clearing communicate technical status, impacts, and recommendations.
• Provide analysis and routine reporting to support leadership visibility and informed decision making.
• Leverage AWS cloud and DevOps technical expertise across systems, software, and SaaS to provide strategic insights, standards, and recommend best practices for optimizing solutions while ensuring business alignment.
• Become deeply knowledgeable about the program's goals and needs, you should always know what comes next to keep the work moving even if clients aren't talking about it/haven't begun thinking about it.
• Document meeting notes, action items, and key decisions.
• Develop best practice guidelines and compliance documentation.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and DevOps practices with the ability to explain them clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Broad technical knowledge across infrastructure, systems, software, and cloud-based solutions.
• Strong technical knowledge across systems, software, and SaaS solutions.
• Ability to provide strategic insights, standards, and recommendations for technical solutions.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills to bridge technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to identify solutions to complex challenges.
• Ability to contribute to internal team discussions on software system demonstrations and solution proposals.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain a Public Trust
• Education: Bachelor's degree

• Understanding of Salesforce involving cloud based solutions.

• Education: Master's degree

Salary Range: $120K - $135K
Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
