Position Overview: The Security Manager oversees all aspects of the organization's physical and industrial security programs in compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and federal security requirements. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of security policies, procedures, and countermeasures to protect classified and sensitive information, facilities, and personnel. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with SCIF inspection and accreditation, as well as a proven track record of leading compliant security operations.

Duties: This role leads the contractor's facility and program security functions, ensuring compliance with all relevant government regulations and contract requirements for classified and sensitive work. The Security Manager directs the full lifecycle of security operations, ranging from SCIF inspection/ accreditation to the implementation of physical security countermeasures and industrial security protocols. The successful candidate will partner with key stakeholders across the enterprise and serve as the primary interface with government security agencies and customers.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all physical and industrial security functions for the Division, ensuring compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), ICD 705, and related directives.
  • Manage and maintain robust physical security for all Division, corporate and project facilities, including Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs), construction, accreditation, and ongoing compliance oversight.
  • Oversee processes for personnel clearances, classified material handling, visit authorizations, and document control in accordance with NISPOM, ICD 705, and customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training programs across the Division.
  • Maintain security clearance records, manage subcontract DD254s, and provide ongoing education/debriefings for employees, in conjunction with corporate Facility Security Officer (FSO).
  • Lead SCIF and SAPF construction, inspection, and accreditation efforts in coordination with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and cognizant security officials.
  • Oversee physical security design, access control, alarm systems, and emergency response protocols for classified and unclassified facilities.
  • Conduct routine SCIF and SAPF vulnerability assessments, accreditation reviews, audits, and threat analyses; recommend and implement mitigation strategies and countermeasures.
  • Liaise with government security agencies, contractors, and internal leadership regarding security operations and compliance matters.
  • Ensure proper classification management, document control, and safeguarding of information systems per DoD and IC requirements.
  • Support incident response and investigations involving potential security violations or compromises.
  • Maintain accurate and timely security documentation, records, and reporting.


Experience: Minimum of 15 years of combined experience in physical and industrial security, including facility accreditation and compliance management.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field; relevant experience may substitute for education.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship and active Top Secret or higher-level security clearance required (SCI eligibility preferred).
  • In-depth working knowledge of NISPOM, ICD 705, and facility accreditation standards. Strong familiarity with DoD 5200.1 and related security directives.
  • Demonstrated capability in developing and executing facility protection and risk management strategies.
  • Experience working directly with DCSA and other cognizant security authorities.
  • Highly organized, team-oriented, and skilled in cross-functional communications. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Certification such as Certified SCIF Inspector (CSI), Industrial Security Professional (ISP). or Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), and training as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO), preferred.

Salary Range: $180,000-$195,000
