Job Summary
B&A is seeking a highly skilled Senior Strategic Planner to support enterprise-level strategic planning, analysis, and executive facilitation. The ideal candidate will provide guidance and develop actionable recommendations in support of the FM 5-Year Plan, prepare executive-level briefings and reports, and facilitate strategic sessions for senior leadership. This role requires collaboration with Government SMEs to translate priorities into digital content, strategic products, and actionable plans.

Job Summary
B&A is seeking a highly skilled Senior Strategic Planner to support enterprise-level strategic planning, analysis, and executive facilitation. The ideal candidate will provide guidance and develop actionable recommendations in support of the FM 5-Year Plan, prepare executive-level briefings and reports, and facilitate strategic sessions for senior leadership. This role requires collaboration with Government SMEs to translate priorities into digital content, strategic products, and actionable plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic-level analysis and develop recommendations supporting the Department of the Air Force FM 5-Year Plan.
- Support communication, facilitation, and recording for strategic boards, working groups, and executive planning forums.
- Monitor and report progress toward FM 5-Year Plan goals and objectives; develop updates, reports, and recommended changes.
- Prepare strategic-level initiatives and executive planning materials, including briefing slides, templates, schedules, and pre-briefs for Executive Sessions (minimum four annually).
- Record meeting minutes, capture action items and due-outs, and track follow-up actions for Executive Sessions and other strategic events.
- Serve as a certified facilitator for Executive Sessions and other strategic planning events as required.
- Collaborate with Government SMEs to translate direction and input into comprehensive digital content.
- Independently develop and build digital training tools and strategic planning products using Government-approved platforms.
Education and Experience
- Master's degree in strategic planning, Public Policy, Business Administration, or Financial Management.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience in strategic planning, analysis, facilitation, and enterprise-level strategic support.
- At least 5 years supporting DoD with strategic-level planning, coordination, and executive support.
- Minimum 2 years developing executive briefs, reports, and meeting minutes; coordinating senior leadership actions and due-outs.
- Minimum 5 years supporting strategic-level planning and long-range plans (e.g., 5-Year Plans).
- Minimum 7 years planning and facilitating executive/senior-leadership events with 70+ participants.
- Formal facilitation certification (e.g., IAF Certified Professional Facilitator, DoD/USAF certified facilitator, or equivalent).
Required Skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to lead complex planning sessions and synthesize large volumes of data.
- Experience developing strategic recommendations, white papers, and senior-level briefings.
- Experience drafting and coordinating executive correspondence, policy documents, and communication materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to accuracy and clarity.
- Ability to translate strategic vision into executable goals and milestones.
- Familiarity with DoD planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) processes.
- Ability to translate complex financial and strategic concepts for executive audiences.
- Proficiency in facilitation techniques including strategic visioning, SWOT analysis, and scenario planning.
Desired Skills
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
- Experience with database management and data aggregation from multiple sources.
- Experience supporting SAF-level financial management organizations.
- Knowledge of DoD and Air Force strategic planning frameworks.
- Experience facilitating multi-day executive-level planning events.
