Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Data Engineer / DevSecOps Engineer to support our client in El Segundo. The Senior Data Engineer / DevSecOps Engineer will design high-assurance data pipelines, integrate large multi-domain sensor datasets, and develop secure automation and AI-enabled capabilities to support mission-critical space operations. This role is only open to candidates with a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Responsibilities of the Data Scientist include:
· Designing and implementing end - to - end pipelines integrating data from space, air, and ground sensor systems
· Building scalable, secure, and resilient data architectures within classified environments
· Developing data models, ICDs, APIs, and interface specifications for multi - domain systems
· Managing and normalizing telemetry and command data across protocols such as CCSDS, XTCE, and MIB
· Automating real - time data flows and ensuring integrity, timeliness, and traceability of mission data
· Deploying containerized and cloud - based infrastructure using Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and related IaC tools
· Developing and integrating AI/ML tools into automated data pipelines and mission applications
Qualifications for the Data Scientist include:
· Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
· 5+ years of experience in data engineering or large - scale data integration
· Hands - on coding experience in modern languages (Python, Go, Java, etc.)
· Experience integrating large datasets across multi - domain systems (space/air/ground)
· Experience with DevSecOps practices, containerization, and CI/CD
· Experience developing ICDs, APIs, and automation frameworks
· Experience with AI/ML development or operational integration
Compensation for the Data Scientist includes:
· Salary Range: $140,000-$180,000 depending on experience
