KBR is seeking an IT Technical Project Manager to join our team in support of IT projects at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility under the Range Operations Contract (ROC). This position is responsible for the project-oriented delivery, organizational design, and ongoing support of business processes that related to the application and/or design of information technology, applications, and network systems. Under general supervision, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices. Uses experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes.
The individual is responsible for project management of assigned information technology (IT) projects in support of voice, data, video, application development, and data center services required for mission operations.
Responsibilities can include planning, design, testing, evaluation, cost analyses, program and project management and quality/risk management for assigned projects.
The individual may serve as an assistant point of contact to the code 780 PM for IT support required by programmatic and mission support.
Tasks include translating requirements created by customers and missions/programs/projects into functional requirements by service area and RITSS capability; partners with engineers to design, develop, and deploy hybrid, specialized IT solutions and services. Serves as on-console support for mission launches to coordinate immediate service area response.
The individual will support teams that perform critical IT activities in support of the ROC, coordinating the tasks that provide range project and system administrative support to the necessary voice, data, video, application development, and data center services to be compliant with the Agency CIO's mandates as per NPG 2800.2

Required Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree (or evaluated equivalent) and 5 years of related experience
Skills:
- Proven ability to research and problem solve, both independently and within a team environment
- Must be able to clearly communicate and socialize with personnel and customers (critical)
- Must be able to comprehend and follow complex procedural documentation and guidance
- Understands risk assessment planning to action completion
- Perform compliance and risks analysis tasks to systems standards
- Strong interpersonal skills to work directly with client, teammates, business partners, end-users, and other stakeholders to review, validate and implement requirements.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with System Security Plans in the Federal Government
- Understand System Security Controls and how they relate to Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) and Risk Based Decisions (RBDs)
- Familiarity or experience with NIST 800-53 Rev 5 for Assessing Security and Privacy Controls in Federal Information Systems and Organizations
- Certifications are evaluated if presented
