Lockheed Martin is seeking a full-time Early Career Mechanical Engineer for VS Aircraft Labs in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, you will aid in the design of test fixtures, fabrication, setup, and test. Testing objectives are to simulate both environmental and climatic conditions for aircraft systems, conditioned air flow, altitude and climate chambers, bird strike, store ejection, wind tunnel, etc. As part of the VS lab team, identify maintenance needs of equipment and facilities to maintain capabilities. Preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience in test instrumentation, performing system/component tests, and able to work with and direct represented employees.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of CAD software, technical planning, system integration, and validation. Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical major
• Course work or experience in one or more of the following-CATIA, SolidWorks, or other CAD applications
• Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Ability to interpret schematics / blueprints of complex parts and systems
- Experience with fluid test systems and sensor applications/selection
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with competing priorities.
- Familiar with machining and welding trade terminology
- Able to work with and direct represented employees.
- Experience with MS office.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
