Description:This is a critical position supporting the Space Systems Company in Denver, CO working directly with our internal and external customers. This position will have the responsibility for installing, configuring, and maintaining the Secure Communications LAN, WAN and Voice systems. Candidates will work closely with team members, vendors and will work with Administrative and End user teams to ensure connectivity of primary and backup networks in support of LOB programs. After- hours support is periodically required and some non-standard work shifts might be required to support periodic system tests, baseline promotions, and other non-critical mission activities.
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and have active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly and possess a Security+ certification or be able to obtain a Security+ certification within 60 days of hire. There is no telecommuting available or this position. This position is responsible for, but not limited to:
• Servicing multiple government and program users involving design, development installations, maintenance, operations, control, and documentation
• Perform installations and upgrades to Cisco and Juniper operating systems in accordance with established policies, procedures, and agreements
• Participate in customer reviews requiring system impacts or temporary outages
• Participate in customer system testing
• Work closely with System Administration staff to optimize connectivity solutions
Basic Qualifications:
• Active TS/SCI W/ Poly required for this role
Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of network engineering disciplines such as:
• Knowledge of general networking principles
• Experience with Routers, switches, and firewalls
• Knowledge of switching and routing protocols like spanning-tree, OSPF, and BGP
• Familiarity with NSA type 1 encryptors
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot network issues
• Design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of Secure Communications LAN, WAN and voice systems
• Experience with network monitoring and providing notifications of issues on a daily basis
• Determine root causes of network issues and recommend strategies to prevent recurrences
• Works well in a team environment
Desired Skills:
• Current Security+ certificate or better
• Knowledge of patching, Firmware, and IOS upgrades
• Knowledge of SAN environments with multiple OS's (Linux, Unix, and Windows)
• Knowledge of Cisco Call Manager
• Knowledge of Network Access Control (NAC) for 802.1X with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
• Knowledge of DNS-DHCP-IPAM (DDI) with Infoblox and Active Directory
• Familiarity with Cisco IOS/IOS-XE/NXOS and JunOS
• Experience with network management platforms like SolarWinds
• Involvement with PDS systems

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
