Responsibilities (including, but not limited):
- Accesses designated automated databases for identifying information of interest to the customer.
- Uses functional and subject matter area expertise to assess the organizational, operational, and functional baseline for law enforcement and homeland security initiatives.
- Works with senior government officials and executives to provide industry vision and strategic direction. Serves as an expert to assist in determining policy recommendations and engaging a wide range of stakeholders, including local, state, and federal agencies.
- Sends de-confliction requests to other agencies for coordination purposes.
- Guides in the determination of business process inadequacies and deficiencies that affect the functional area's ability to support and meet organizational priorities.
- Participates in strategy sessions and strategic assessments to validate enterprise approach and associated work products.
- Provides expert consulting and advisory expertise in the areas of organizational and vulnerability assessments and resolution of highly complex project and problems.
- Present oral briefings and written reports to HSI leadership.
Qualifications
Position Specific Knowledge and Requirements:
- TOP SECRET Classified NSI access based on Tier 5 (National Security Position) investigative standards. Vetting at the Tier 5 level meets requirement for access to Law Enforcement Data Base information
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight (8) years' experience in law enforcement or homeland security or a combination of any federal or state government agency and law enforcement agency. (Education may be substituted with substantive experience.)
- Include processing and evaluating relevant information and identifying/recommending solutions to a wide range of analytical problems, participating multi-agency liaison and coordination activities.
- Two (2) years' experience in intelligence and threat analysis with DOD or any federal or state government agency and law enforcement agency.
- Include processing/evaluating intelligence information and identifying/recommending solutions to a wide range of analytical problems; analyzing intelligence data from a variety of sources to develop trends/patterns/profiles/estimates/studies; preparing preliminary/finished intelligence products and disseminating the products to the appropriate officials; participating in liaison activities; and ensuring that intelligence data is properly classified/stored/handled in accordance with pertinent directives.
