  • 15 years of experience in technical delivery, program management, or software engineering leadership, with technical experience in cloud computing (e.g., IaaS/PaaS), distributed systems, and modern AI/ML development and deployment.
  • 7 years of experience managing professional services engineering teams.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with technical innovation and building AI transformations for large-scale enterprise or government customers.
  • Experience working with the U.S. public sector, including knowledge of procurement, mission requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Knowledge of government compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and IL5/IL6 requirements).
  • Ability to set organizational strategy and lead change management for large government or enterprise organizations.

About the job

As the Director of Technical Delivery, you will be an executive leader responsible for driving the successful adoption and implementation of Google Cloud and AI capabilities across critical U.S. public sector agencies. You will lead a high-performing organization of technical delivery managers, architects, and engineers, ensuring architectural excellence and project success from concept to completion.

in this role, you will act as an executive-level trusted advisor for key public sector accounts, including state/local and federal agencies, aligning their mission objectives with Google Cloud solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture, security, networking, and the unique compliance and regulatory challenges of the U.S. Government. You will be comfortable navigating both technical trade-offs with engineers and communicating complex analyses to executive stakeholders.

Must be a US Citizen to meet customer and compliance requirements, including potential access to classified information.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $269,000-$378,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
  • Recruit and lead a team of deep technical professionals, managing performance and fostering career development across multiple specialized technical delivery teams.
  • Define and execute the strategic direction, goals, and operational model for the Technical Delivery organization to drive large-scale cloud and AI adoption.
  • Serve as an executive sponsor, engaging government stakeholders and C-level executives to shape cloud product outlooks and strategic digital transformation roadmaps.
  • Manage high-level risks, issues, and escalations across the team's portfolio, working closely with Google Cloud engineering and product teams.
  • Collaborate with sales/go-to-market leadership to ensure alignment between commercial objectives and technical delivery capabilities.
