Background:  
The Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4 (ODCS, G-4) serves as the Army’s principal staff element responsible for logistics, sustainment, supply chain integration, materiel readiness, transportation, and operational support to the Total Force.
The Knowledge Manager supports the G-4 enterprise by designing, implementing, and sustaining knowledge management (KM) capabilities that improve decision-making, operational visibility, cross-directorate collaboration, and information governance in support of Army logistics and sustainment missions.

Duties and Responsibilities: 
• Develop, implement, and administer the ODCS G-4 Knowledge Management strategy to ensure mission-critical logistics and sustainment information is discoverable, accessible, and actionable.
• Design and maintain a structured, enterprise knowledge repository leveraging Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform).
• Integrate knowledge processes across G-4 directorates to improve operational coordination, situational awareness, and decision support.
• Establish governance frameworks for document management, records lifecycle management, metadata standards, and information architecture within the G-4 Portal.
• Systematically link relevant information from diverse logistics systems and staff elements into a unified, virtual knowledge environment.
• Ensure compliance with Army information management and records management policies.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), taxonomies, and content management standards.
• Facilitate collaboration across G-4 directorates using Microsoft 365-based automated tools.
• Support change management initiatives tied to digital transformation, knowledge-sharing processes, and enterprise modernization.
• Develop and update change management procedures and guidelines to increase awareness and adoption of KM capabilities across the organization.
• Conduct stakeholder engagement sessions to gather requirements and refine KM solutions.
• Design and maintain leadership dashboards and executive reporting tools to convey key logistics and sustainment metrics.
• Develop standardized displays that provide enterprise context for operational decision-making.
• Support integration of data visualization tools (Power BI or equivalent) to enhance visibility into logistics readiness and performance metrics.
• Assess, redesign, and deploy improved operational workflows to reduce redundancy and improve information flow.
• Capture tacit and institutional knowledge through structured documentation, interviews, and repository development.
• Develop training materials, job aids, and how-to guides to support KM tool adoption.
• Provide user documentation and training on Microsoft 365 KM capabilities.
Qualification(s): 
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, records management, or data communications and database management.
• Minimum 8-10 years work experience in Information Technology or Knowledge Management
• Must possess a Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals or comparable certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Must possess a CompTIA Security+ certification
• Knowledge of the American Productivity & Quality Center Knowledge Management strategies preferred.
• Demonstrated experience designing and administering SharePoint-based knowledge portals.
• Experience implementing enterprise KM strategies within DoD or Federal environments.
