Job Summary:
The Investigative Support Analyst will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Protective Service (FPS) by performing tasks as a data analyst. This involves creating reports, lead projects, training, and assisting in other special projects.
Base Salary: $80,000 - $85,000/Annually
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly criminal case statistics and analysis. This involves in-conducting depth incident analysis and developing as well as maintaining internal performance metrics.
- Generate statistical data for cases, threats, and/or specified investigative criteria for the FPS regions to report to leadership at headquarters.
- Ad Hoc or as needed data inquiries, summary, and reporting for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), cross divisional reporting, and higher headquarters
- Provide guidance to the regions as it pertains to current national directives
- Provide input and data for the monthly and quarterly team briefings to the FPS Director, regional FPS leadership, and the Investigations Division.
- Maintain the development, sustainment, and updating of SharePoint sites. This includes creating 'how to' guides for completing internal FPS Datawarehouse functions or requests
- Assist in the preparation of presentation materials
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Prepare, edit, and assemble reports required for meetings and presentations
- Work effectively with other FPS branches and divisional personnel within the organization to accomplish tasks
- Provide assistance, as needed, with special projects
- Complete other ad hoc assignments, as determined
- A minimum of eight years of experience in project or program management, or related work with a minimum of five of the eight years in conducting analytical and support activities related to task area.
- A minimum education requirement of a Bachelor's Degree.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data
- Ability to read and interpret management policy, regulations, and directives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 or higher to include Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint
