Job Description

As a Security Officer - Driver Rounds in LIMA, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a high-tech aero and defense location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge activity, document observations using a computer or tablet, and provide customer-focused communication to employees and visitors. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license and compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders within an aerospace and defense location, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas, gates, and perimeter routes, as permitted by the post assignment and site conditions.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining sign-in records, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site policies.
• Complete required security-related reports and logs, document unusual activity and/or hazards, and communicate key information during shift turnovers to support continuity of operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
