As a Configuration Management (CM) analyst, you will be one of our customers' trusted advisors in the organization to implement and practice CM, while optimizing accurate and effective practices that lead to better results. This position requires expertise in configuration management, systems engineering, and different development methodologies. The candidate must have a strong understanding of the organization's vision, objectives, and priorities to drive the successful implementation of CM practices. They will work closely with developers, program managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of CM practices.

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, Arcfield invests in its employees beyond just compensation. This position requires expertise in configuration management, systems engineering, and different development methodologies. The candidate must have a strong understanding of the organization's vision, objectives, and priorities to drive the successful implementation of CM practices. They will work closely with developers, program managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of CM practices.
Job duties include:
- Serving as a subject matter advisor and leader for both Government and engineering team members, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Implementing and documenting the applicable tailored controls for system and security requirements into the Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) System Architecture. Model (SAM), including configuration-controlled documentation, system specifications, system plans, software code, and/or interface control documents (ICD)s.
- Ensuring capabilities are controlled with the latest configurations.
- Ensuring external software interfaces down to the Computer Software Configuration Item (CSCI level) are controlled and made available for government access, review, and usage.
- Ensuring code is checked into current version for source control.
- Supporting cross-functional organization collaboration.
- Operating configuration/change management tools.
- Supporting system configuration changes specified by management and other functional groups.
- Coordinating transition of ground software-related artifacts and data products for configuration management (CM) and continued development.
- Facilitating/supporting Change Control Board (CCB) meetings, as required.
- Providing support for configuration identification, control, reporting, and auditing.
- Supporting the maintenance and accuracy of the Configuration Management Library.
- Providing analysis of current processes and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Performing tasks to ensure new configuration management baseline operating parameters are documented, comply with standard configurations, and are logistically sustainable.
- Assisting in developing and documenting new configuration management processes and procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
- BS 5-7 years, MS 3-5 years, PhD 0-2 years
- Must possess and be able to maintain secret clearance
- 5+ years of proven Configuration Management experience
- Experience with different System Engineering methods (agile, DevSecOps, MBSE)
- Experience with configuration management tools and related change processes
- Knowledge/experience working in the Intelligence Community
- Strong analytical skills and ability to develop and formulate solutions for problems/issues
- Strong representational, oral, and written communications skills, including the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products
- Proven organization and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to interface effectively via written and oral forums with personnel at all levels of government
