Decision Technologies seeks a qualified Dual Band Radar (DBR) Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Admin to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia
Position Description:
The Dual Band Radar (DBR) AIT Admin serves as the primary coordinator and technical integrator responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the AIT Workbook in support of DBR installation and alteration efforts. This role bridges technical execution and administrative coordination, ensuring installation documentation, work sequencing, logistics tracking, and shipboard integration efforts are accurate, complete, and aligned with program requirements. The ideal candidate possesses a solid technical background in radar systems, shipboard combat systems, or electrical/mechanical integration, combined with strong documentation, coordination, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:
AIT Workbook Development & Management
• Develop, compile, and maintain the AIT Workbook from planning through execution
• Integrate technical installation requirements, drawings, procedures, and schedules into a cohesive working document
• Ensure configuration management and version control of all workbook components
• Coordinate inputs from engineering, logistics, planning yard, and ship's force
Technical Integration Support
• Interpret engineering drawings, alteration installation drawings (AIDs), and system technical manuals
• Validate technical work scope against shipboard conditions
• Support troubleshooting and technical clarification during installation events
• Participate in pre-installation assessments and shipchecks as required
Administrative & Program Coordination
• Track action items, milestones, and installation progress
• Coordinate meeting materials, status reports, and briefings
• Maintain installation records, redlines, lessons learned, and turnover documentation
• Interface with government representatives, program office personnel, and shipyard leadership
Shipboard Support
• Travel to ships and shipyards to support onboard execution
• Assist in resolving emergent technical or documentation issues
• Ensure workbook accuracy reflects real-time shipboard conditions
• Support validation, testing, and turnover activities as needed
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Associate's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field OR equivalent military/industry technical experience (NEC / MOS)
• 5-10 years of experience in:
• Shipboard combat systems
• Radar systems
• Alteration Installation Teams (AIT)
• Ship modernization or technical integration programs
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation procedures
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with configuration management and technical documentation control
Desired Qualifications:
• Prior experience supporting naval radar systems, particularly the Dual Band Radar program
• Familiarity with Navy modernization processes and planning yard coordination
• Experience in shipyard or waterfront technical environments
• Strong written communication skills for technical documentation
• Experience supporting installation test procedures and system activation events
Travel Requirements:
• >10%
