Job Description

Summary

The Pricing Manager is responsible for leading the pricing and estimating function to ensure the development of accurate, compliant, and competitive proposals for both commercial and government customers. This role provides day-to-day leadership to assigned Pricing Analysts and oversees the preparation, review, and submission of cost and pricing data in accordance with internal policies, customer requirements, and applicable government regulations.

Position Responsibilities
  • Oversee and provide day-to-day leadership to assigned Pricing Analysts and associated staff
  • Ensure Estimating System compliance, advise leadership of pricing requirements/obligations and provide interpretation of RFP requirements.
  • Prepare procedures and work instructions as necessary to assure compliance with both internal and government directives.
  • Review Requests for Proposals (RFP) and proposal documents for protection of company pricing approach, satisfaction of customer specifications/requirements and adherence to company policy.
  • Provide in-depth knowledge of FAR and other applicable government regulations as they relate to Estimating / Pricing
  • Prepare dynamic pricing models for Commercial & Government Customers
  • Prepare cost estimate packages that are statically correct and can be supported through historical, empirical data and / or estimating theory.
  • Generate reliable cost estimates that accurately reflect the cost and customer requirements.
  • Organize data and estimates from various functional areas into cohesive, auditable and consistence cost packages.
  • Must be able to demonstrate advanced MS Excel and Word skills
  • Must be a team player, proactive, and possess excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Potential travel of 10% or greater to meet proposal requirements.
  • Able to obtain secret clearance


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent (MBA preferred)
  • 8-10 years of experience in relevant disciplines.
  • 1-4 years of supervisory experience.
  • In-depth understanding of Government acquisition policies, regulations and proposal compliance requirements.
  • Relevant experience in the Federal & Commercial contracting environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of pricing, contracts, and business management


Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
  • Proficient in use of Pro Pricer
  • Risk and quantitative analysis skills
  • US DOD, International & Commercial Pricing Experience across various types of programs (Production, Spares, Logistics, Research and Development and Services)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use them in informing, presenting, negotiating and problem solving with a wide range of people.
  • Dynamic, Self-Starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to function independently, meet deadlines and achieve commitments.
  • Ability to manage multiple, critical projects simultaneously and enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Government Cost accounting principles (CAS) and FAR

  • Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)


Special Requirements
  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) is required, per ITAR definition
  • Occasionally may be required to travel within the Continental U.S.

The salary range for this role is:
$108,275 - $153,615
