Job Description
Join our team in a unique role providing various engineering support services during Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Ship Restricted Availabilities, AEGIS Modernization Availabilities, and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, & Intelligence (C4I) System Integration and Test Evaluation (CSITE) Material Assessment Team events. The selected candidate will provide technical support specific to each program which may include conducting ship checks to monitor Combat Systems Ship Alterations, technically compiling and validating assessment data during various events, interfacing routinely with Ship's Force to facilitate closure of equipment discrepancies and part requisition issues and providing technical and administrative tasking in support of ship readiness.

The ideal candidate is detail and goal oriented, has a high level of self-accountability, professionalism, motivation, and dedication, has a strong attention to detail, and works well independently and within a team setting. Tasking is performed in both office and industrial (shipboard/shipyard) environments.

The selected candidate will ensure the successful completion of Performance Based deliverables using BAE Systems and customer processes, work instructions, and customer's directives. This process requires a critical eye for technical soundness, consistency, and adherence to governing documentation. A working knowledge of Ships' Current Ships Maintenance Project (CSMP) will aid in successfully verifying technical data. Integration and effective communication with Ship's Force, including work center supervisors and supply personnel, will aid in tracking deficiencies and parts through resolution and job closure.

Some Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily onboard ship checks to monitor and report status of Combat System Ship Alterations, to identify issues with potential impact on the production schedule and Combat Systems testing.
  • Identify, document, and track discrepancies, compartment release schedules, and major checklist items.
  • Provide discrepancy management support during system assessment events by collecting, validating, and processing identified equipment discrepancies.
  • Be knowledgeable of and adhere to specific Navy instructions and all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist project leads with execution of tasking in support of availabilities.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by customers, stakeholders, and/or BAE Systems management.
The selected candidate will be required to support tasking at two locations, performed in both office and industrial (shipboard/shipyard) environments. Our onsite team supports tasking executed at Naval Base Everett and awarded Seattle based shipyards. The selected candidate will need to be able to work at either location for extended durations. Primary work location is at Naval Base Everett.

This position is in Everett, WA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Everett or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical, business, computer science of IT discipline and minimum of 3 years of related/relevant work experience
    OR Associate degree and at least 4 years of related experience OR High School diploma and 6 years of years of related experience
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting military programs
  • Aegis experience
  • Working knowledge of Ship's CSMP and/or 2Kilo writing
  • Proficiency with MS 365 (TEAMS, Word, Excel, Access) and Adobe products


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Previous Work Center Supervisor or LPO/LCPO
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting ship drawings


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $86580 - $147186

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
