Onsite Job - Model-Based Systems Engineer Level 3 (Hazelwood, MO or Seattle, WA)
About the Role:
Join Indotronix as a Model-Based Systems Engineer Level 3 and play a pivotal role in supporting advanced defense and aerospace projects within the Phantom Works Systems Engineering and Integration Team. Located onsite in Hazelwood, MO or Seattle, WA, you will drive autonomy and autonomous systems development using the latest digital engineering and MBSE methodologies. Be part of a mission-critical team contributing to innovative solutions for high-impact Department of Defense programs.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches in collaboration with system architects, SMEs, and stakeholders
- Develop and maintain comprehensive MBSE models, leveraging tools such as Cameo and SysML
- Support cross-functional engineering teams to deliver integrated weapons systems, ensuring project milestones are met
- Drive systems engineering processes including requirements decomposition, architecture definition, specification development, trade studies, and risk management
- Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration to plan, design, develop, verify, and integrate complex system solutions
- Capture and document engineering efforts in MBSE models for seamless knowledge transfer and program execution
- Participate in program planning, customer reviews, certification, verification, and test planning activities
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science) from an accredited institution
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience (with a Bachelor's), 3+ years (with a Master's), or PhD-level experience
- Hands-on expertise with MBSE, Cameo, and SysML
- Active Secret Clearance
- Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and innovative onsite environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with MSOSA methodology
- Background in aerospace systems engineering
