Leidos was awarded the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract . Leidos is seeking a Cloud Engineers across AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle clouds. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to modernize a leading , global-scale multi-cloud environment in support of a critical mission, supporting USAF system resiliency, security, and cost effectiveness.

- Perform systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, and requirements allocation for cloud and hybrid environments.
- Design , implement, and support scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Support cloud architecture design activities, including evaluation of technical alternatives, cost, risk, and supportability.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) and automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Deploy , configure, integrate, and support applications in cloud environments.
- Assist with containerization and orchestration using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Support cloud environment performance, availability, scalability, and reliability.
- Assist with system integration, verification, validation, and testing activities.
- Implement and support security best practices, including identity and access management, logging, monitoring, and vulnerability remediation.
- Monitor system health and assist with troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Support cloud modernization efforts, including migration of legacy systems and adoption of cloud-native services.
- Configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and supporting infrastructure components.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with developers, operations, security, and customer stakeholders to support solution design and implementation.
- Coach and provide technical guidance to junior engineers as needed.
- Follow established engineering, DevOps/ DevSecOps , and quality assurance processes and standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 4–8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 2–6 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Secret Security Clearance required
- U.S. citizenship required .
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (IAT Level II).
- Hands-on experience supporting cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, or DevOps/ DevSecOps tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native development practices.
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking fundamentals, and version control tools (Git).
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting DoD or USAF cloud environments (e.g., Cloud One, Platform One).
- Familiarity with Zero Trust concepts and secure cloud architectures.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Elastic, Splunk, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Exposure to container platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience with cloud-based identity solutions (Active Directory, Azure AD, IAM).
- Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle.
