Position Overview
• We are seeking an experienced Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer with strong C/C++ development expertise to support mission-critical programs.
• The selected candidate will develop and integrate embedded software solutions running on Linux and real-time operating systems (RTOS) deployed on multi-core processors.
• This role requires hands-on experience in software, firmware, and hardware integration, along with a strong understanding of full software lifecycle development within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, enhance, and maintain real-time embedded software using C/C++
• Design and implement object-oriented software solutions on Linux/RTOS platforms
• Support software, firmware, and hardware integration activities
• Develop communication interfaces using TCP/IP and Data Distribution Services (DDS)
• Participate in requirements development, architecture design, implementation, testing, and integration
• Contribute to Agile development processes using modern DevOps toolchains
• Support system validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of C/C++ embedded real-time software development experience using Linux/RTOS on multi-core processors
• 5+ years of hands-on software/firmware/hardware integration experience
• 3+ years of experience developing software using TCP/IP communication protocols and Data Distribution Services (DDS)
• 3+ years of Python development experience
• 3+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements and architecture
• 3+ years of experience working in Agile environments (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) using tools such as GitLab, Docker, and Bitbucket
• Active Secret Clearance required at time of submittal
Desired Qualifications
• Working knowledge of the Yocto operating system
• Experience developing software for Xilinx Zynq UltraScale System-on-Chip (SoC)
• Familiarity with RTI Data Distribution Service (DDS) middleware
• Experience with containerized development and deployment
• Familiarity with DevSecOps processes and tools, including CI/CD and automated testing
• Previous experience serving as a Software Lead or Task Lead
