Position Description & Qualifications

Our team is looking for a Database/GIS SME regarding 911 GIS and related data, with specialized knowledge in database administration, manipulation, automation, and integration processes. In this position, you will play a critical role in ensuring that successful and secure work is performed for our government installations which is vital to our Mission to protect and serve our Military.

This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain/maintain/transfer your Secret Clearance

In this role, you will:
  • Provide Geographic Information System subject matter expertise and direction on projects from inception through completion (e.g. proposal input, task lead, deliverables, quality assurance, etc.)
  • Provide technical and managerial assistance on all aspects of execution, to comply with the technical requirements of the contract for the customer.
  • Provide technical expertise for maintaining database integrity, facilitating data development tasks, providing for data security requirements, and enhancing data storage and transport.
  • Evaluate performance of subcontractors and technical deliverables.
  • Review deliverables for quality assurance and controls.
  • Assist with briefs, memoranda, reports, and other documentation highlighting project progress and status.
  • Attend meetings and assist with technical input.
  • Ensure technical training as needed for applicable team members and instruct them on the customer's methods, procedures, and standards.
  • Develop data processing tools and/or technical methodology to realize efficiencies.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and take corrective action.
  • Participate in long-range planning, analysis, and program initiatives.
  • Participate in the planning and design of new projects as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional responsibilities include:
  • This position will support the Navy and multiple contracts as a Database/Geographic Information System (GIS) SME and an NG911 GIS geodatabase administrator (Technical Project Lead II).
  • This position is responsible for developing data manipulation and processing methodology that aids in the capture, storage, manipulation, analysis, management, and presentation of all types of spatial or geographic data.
  • This position will support Next Generation 911 GIS data transport, storage, and manipulation, as well as emergency management and related information, for the Navy's Regional Commands both CONUS and OCONUS.
  • This position will be responsible for implementing all requirements and standards for NG911 GIS data and processes, as well as instituting methods and controls for adherence.
  • This position will participate in short- and long-range planning for emergency response and public safety systems, as a Database/GIS SME.
  • This position is part of a very dynamic, high-demand team, and may require (limited) travel, both CONUS and OCONUS, or the ability to participate remotely.


To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
    • U.S Citizenship required
  • A Bachelor's degree
    • Or a High School Diploma/GED with minimum 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in Enterprise GIS database management
  • Experience in Spatial Enterprise Solutions
  • Ability to work independently and within government systems
  • Ability to travel up to 10% CONUS/OCONUS
    • Must possess a valid U.S Passport
