Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) / Communications Engineer to support our client in Orlando, FL. The RF Communications Engineer will provide engineering, integration, testing, and sustainment support for RF and communications systems across training, operational, and enterprise environments. This role ensures communications capabilities are secure, interoperable, and aligned with mission, technical, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities of the RF Communications Engineer include:
· Support analysis, design, and documentation of RF and communications architectures
· Assist with frequency planning, spectrum management coordination, and interference mitigation
· Integrate communications systems with platforms, networks, and training systems
· Develop and review technical requirements, interface specifications, and communications plans
· Support installation, configuration, testing, and validation of RF and communications equipment
· Participate in demonstrations, exercises, and Government Acceptance Testing (GAT)
· Collect, analyze, and report on system performance data (coverage, reliability, latency, interoperability)
· Troubleshoot RF/communications
Qualifications for the RF Communications Engineer include:
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, RF Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
· 5+ years of experience supporting RF or communications engineering within DoD, federal, or enterprise environments
· Experience with RF/communications system design and integration
· Background in spectrum management, frequency coordination, and interference mitigation
· Experience with communications testing and performance analysis
· Ability to produce technical documentation and coordinate with technical and non - technical stakeholders
· Active Secret Clearance
Compensation for the RF Communications Engineer includes:
· Salary Range: $90,000-$125,000 depending on experience
