- You will serve as an "on-site" spill investigator for oil and hazardous substance/waste spills.
- You will participate in annual self-evaluation of Shipyard compliance to environmental regulations, laws, and statutes.
- You will interpret and comprehend a variety of technical publications.
- You will comprehend knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of environmental compliance.
- You will prepare reports of deficiencies with recommend corrective actions to management.

- Experience helping with the inspection dry-docks, industrial work areas, and Hazardous Waste Accumulation areas.
- Experience participating with engineers in developing, implementing, and documenting changes to Shipyard procedures and practices to effect compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and statutes.
- Experience preparing reports for various agencies to support the identification of environmental deficiencies or trends.
- Experience providing interpretation and enforcement of environmental laws.
