Duties
Help
  • You will provide guidance and coordinate training to ensure effective and efficient program management.
  • You will assess training, establish training requirements, periodicities for specific courses or modules and develop additional training or awareness bulletins.
  • You will participate in corporate working group initiatives and meetings with fellow NAVSEA Activities to ensure stability and alignment.
  • You will provide oversight of a program of substantial complexity through monitoring, audits, guidance in problem solving, investigation and remedying problems.
  • You will develop/maintain the Shipyard PDREP instruction in accordance with NAVSEA Directives and initiatives.
  • You will train/monitor applicable shipyard PDPEP Point of Contacts on PDREP functionality and requirements that pertain to their specific work duties and area of responsibility

  • Work will occasionally require extended work hours, non-standard shifts and weekend overtime on visits to industrial work areas within the shipyard.
  • Activities may require walking, climbing stairs and vertical ladders, repeat bending, kneeling, entering shipboard confined spaces.
  • This position requires the incumbent to support rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously to navigate some challenging industrial work areas.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Work is accomplished in normal office spaces, conference rooms, production shops, industrial work areas and aboard ships
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning and conducting studies to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and develop recommendations for improvement to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of program operations.
