The Program Acquisition Manager provides senior-level program management support for Government Information Technology acquisition efforts in support of the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) Program Management Office (PMO) at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). This role manages acquisition lifecycle activities, oversees milestone execution, and coordinates the collection, processing, and analysis of program information and acquisition documentation. The Program Acquisition Manager works directly with Government program leadership to ensure compliance with established acquisition processes and to support efficient, accurate, and timely transmission of program data for review and decision-making.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage acquisition milestones and ensure adherence to established lifecycle schedules.


  • Manage and track the collection, input, and processing of information and data received from customers and technical contacts.


  • Identify discrepancies, risks, and resource considerations in coordination with the Government Program Manager.


  • Collaborate with Government leadership on process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of acquisition activities.


  • Manage, review, and analyze a variety of source documentation and acquisition artifacts.
    Support ACAT and non-ACAT program activities in accordance with Federal and DoD acquisition lifecycle processes.


  • Ensure acquisition documentation and milestone tracking artifacts are complete, accurate, and aligned with contractual and regulatory requirements.


  • Provide structured updates and documentation support for meetings, reviews, and executive briefings.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Five (5) years of experience in program management for Acquisition Category (ACAT) programs and/or non-ACAT programs.


  • Experience with Information Technology acquisition lifecycle processes and acquisition milestones.


  • Experience managing, reviewing, and analyzing acquisition documentation and program source materials.


  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and risk areas.


  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across Government stakeholders and technical teams.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:

  • Experience managing acquisition documentation, milestone tracking, and contract deliverables.


  • Experience coordinating with program management offices and contracting stakeholders.


  • Experience preparing acquisition status reports and executive briefings.


  • Experience supporting process improvement within structured acquisition environments.


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).


CLEARANCE:

  • Must possess an IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3).

  • Remote
