This role requires a technical, customer‑oriented professional with hands‑on experience administering and supporting SharePoint environments. The individual should be detail‑oriented, capable of accurately capturing customer inquiries, and able to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.

Primary Responsibilities
Interact with site and collection owners to address service inquiries and resolve issues.
Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of IT systems.
Rapidly distinguish isolated user issues from enterprise‑wide application or system problems.
Develop solutions for complex issues and update Knowledge Articles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect environmental changes.
Oversee SharePoint initiatives including minor and major version upgrades, routine maintenance, and expansion of platform capabilities.
Identify and implement integration methods with Identity and Access Management (IdAM) technologies.
Assist users with manual migrations from legacy SharePoint versions to SharePoint 2019 or SharePoint Online.
Manage permissions for new and existing site collections, lists, libraries, and related components.
Administer access to Microsoft 365 / Office 365 applications including Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.
Conduct searches and data purges from operational systems in accordance with cybersecurity, legal, compliance, and records‑management requirements.
Maintain asset libraries, risk databases, and business rhythm calendars to support stakeholder awareness and operational visibility.
Coordinate with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze issues, and implement solutions related to incident tickets and service requests.
Provide follow‑up reports including technical findings, resolution steps, feedback, and After‑Action Reports (AARs) to support root‑cause analysis and process improvement.
Support operational requirements in a 24/7/365 environment as needed.
Update operations and maintenance documentation to support after‑hours IT Operations Center staff during triage and troubleshooting.
Manage project goals and assignments, including major upgrades, minor enhancements, and service restoration efforts following outages.
Assign and manage work requests, incidents, and tasks within an IT Service Management (ITSM) platform such as ServiceNow.
Provide guidance and feedback to team members, document performance against goals, and ensure adherence to corporate standards.
Review and approve timesheets in accordance with organizational policies.


Basic Qualifications
Extensive experience with SharePoint technologies including SharePoint 2013, 2016, 2019, and SharePoint Online.
Experience configuring, installing, securing, and administering SharePoint environments.
Experience managing SQL clusters supporting SharePoint server farms.
Experience with patching and maintenance of SharePoint farms and associated SQL clusters.
Experience with PKI authentication and claims‑based authentication.
Experience working with load balancers such as F5 BigIP or Citrix NetScaler.
Experience administering Microsoft 365 / Office 365 services including Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.
Experience performing routine maintenance and supporting scheduled maintenance windows.
Knowledge of Change Management best practices, including planning, execution, and documentation.
Experience providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 system administration support.
Strong troubleshooting skills in dynamic and evolving environments.
Experience conducting incident analysis and identifying recurring issue trends.
Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Experience using IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as ServiceNow.


Education
Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience, or
Master’s degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience, or
Doctorate in a technical discipline may be considered.


Certifications
Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoDM 8140.03 (previously DoD 8570) – IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher)
Certifications in areas such as VMware, Windows Server Administration, or Microsoft 365 administration are a plus.


Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with tools such as Nintex, InfoPath, and Power BI for workflow creation and reporting.
Experience configuring and managing SPPatchify or similar tools for large SharePoint farm patching.
Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or equivalent SharePoint‑related certification.
