Be part of Northrop Grumman's dynamic Manufacturing Engineering team in Rolling Meadows, IL. This team is responsible for the maintenance and design of contracted hardware sub-systems used in the support of airborne electronic systems and ground test systems to protect the war fighter. These sub-systems consist of legacy, state-of-the-art custom designed, and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware enclosed in racks, chassis, and circuit cards. The group also provides an opportunity to support and design ground mobile test and pilot training equipment used to verify operations, train USAF maintenance personnel and electronic warfare officers.
The Manufacturing Engineer will support product design life cycle efforts utilizing iMRO software. Support fabrication through analysis, initial programming and data entry in support of Depot operations. In particular, the engineer will be responsible for generating the database using engineering hardware drawings and related documents to improve efficiency, and simplicity in fabrication clarity, production efficiency, accuracy, conformity and economy of fabrication, assembly, and installation. The Manufacturing engineer will create updates to design drawings, fabrication documentation creates engineering change orders, support Electrical and Mechanical Engineers design reviews. Other tasks will include manufacturing engineering liaison support, working with suppliers, developing fixtures, testing hardware, and supporting Integration and Test (I&T) operations.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,600.00 - $119,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Basic Qualifications for Manufacturing Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering related discipline or continuing education with 2-4 years of experience in Engineering documentation, CAD /CAM tools and CNC shop operations. A high school diploma/GED and 6-8 additional years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
- Experience in depot maintenance and repair controls and measures.
- Working knowledge and aptitude of DOD electro-mechanical assemblies / systems and hardware.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling tools
- Engineering drawing interpretation and generation ANSI 14.
- Experience with hardware and software configuration management
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
- Ability for infrequent travel (
- U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) secret clearance.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of iMRO (Maintenance Repair Overhaul) software management (SAP iMRO/s4)
- Engineering drawings 3D CAD modeling tools (SolidWorks)
- Experienced in CNC programing languages operation (HAAS)
