Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Mission Assurance Manager - Level 3 to join our team in Boulder, CO. The preferred location for this role is Boulder, CO. May consider one of the following major Space sector locations: Colorado Springs, CO.

This position will oversee all program Mission Assurance activities including development and sustainment in Boulder and Colorado Springs. This manager is an experienced leader, possessing demonstrated expertise in the core areas of execution, process development and analysis, performance management, operational excellence, and risk management.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

In this job, you will:
  • Performs quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Assesses program performance, risks, and determining resources to ensure mission assurance.
  • Maintains collaborative relationship with customer to ensure mutual understanding and resolution of issues.
  • Reviews program plans against contractual requirements.
  • Ensures that QME performance and quality conform to established contract and company requirements.
  • Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to QME level performance, key performance indicator metrics and process metrics.
  • Other duties as assigned


This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience including people management experience - OR - Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience including people management experience.
  • Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience (Integrated Product Teams leadership or direct-line management).
  • Experience working in a Development and Integrated Test environment.
  • Experience with problem solving techniques to determine Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA).
  • Experience in disciplines such as Quality & Mission Assurance, Program Management, Engineering and/or Manufacturing.
  • Experience with Software Quality Engineering practices and processes
  • Experience in process monitoring, data collection, analysis, and metrics reporting
  • Experience with Space Programs and customer interaction


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three (3) + years of experience with Space Programs
  • Five (5) + years of experience managing teams.
  • Possess ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI security clearance
  • CAM/Earned Value certification and/or experience.
  • Experience working with suppliers and inspecting supplier hardware.
  • Experience with represented workforce

Primary Level Salary Range: $175,400.00 - $263,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
