Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Rounds in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading aero and defense location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and service requests, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors. This post requires a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, hangars, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas by observing badge use, escort requirements, and visitor controls, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and maintenance concerns in written and/or electronic logs, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
