Overview
The Senior Task Lead will provide U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Office of Information Technology (OIT) oversight of the System Administration services team: review these products, applications, etc., for operational readiness to ensure that they can accept operational responsibility, considering both technical and business perspectives.
Responsibilities
· Lead Tier II and Tier III support for application releases and deployments as well as COTS products that are used in many of the USCIS mission-critical applications.
· Work with development teams to automate releases and deployments
· Enforce standardized system and infrastructure designs and architectures
· Optimize system and infrastructure designs and architectures
· Support the identification and coordination of emerging IT solutions and technology integration opportunities
· Support the innovative industry best practices and technologies that maximize efficiencies and cost savings
· Support the development of new systems while migrating infrastructure capabilities to meet mission requirements and improve the operational efficiency of customers
· Support the delivery of system and infrastructure capabilities that scale to meet enterprise demand with the least re-engineering effort possible
· Facilitate and monitor the integration, interoperability, and synchronization of enterprise-wide systems and infrastructure solutions and services.
Qualifications
Required:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar Information Technology Field.
· A minimum of 10 years' experience in System Engineering, specifically including:
· Analysis related to design, development, and integration of hardware and software to support large-scale Windows/Unix/Linux environments
· CISCO CCNP certified with professional-level skills focused on the data center solutions, technologies, and best practices to design, implement, and manage a modern data center infrastructure.
· 10 years' experience testing large-scale Windows/Unix/Linux environments.
· Experience performing a variety of engineering and operational-related assignments associated with Storage operations, and virtualization software (VMware's vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V0 on a set of enterprise-level IT systems.
· 10 years' experience writing scripts with a scripting language
· Familiarity with DevOps and ITIL processes
· Experienced in AWS, AZURE, Google Cloud Services, and other Cloud environments
· Secret Clearance
