Description

SSI is seeking an experienced Database Management Analyst to support a new Navy contract in Washington DC starting in late 2026.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Oversight of database administration environment to include provision, configure and maintain database instances in SQL and Oracle.
• Ensure optimal performance, scalability and availability in an integrated data environment.
• Perform database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management.
• Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.
• Database loading; development and management of operational procedures; environment management; database health (e.g. monitoring, proactive and reactive responses); resource planning; database upgrade planning; backup and recovery strategy planning and implementation; environment transition planning (development, test, stage, production).
• Mentor more junior database administrators.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field
• Certified Information Systems Security (CISSP)
• Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)
• Experience: 15 years professional experience in engineering or IT
• Experience leading a team in software development and computer-based training

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Master's degree in engineering or related field
• Experience: 20 years' professional experience in engineering or IT
• Integrated Training and Maintenance Support Suite (ITMSS) software development experience
• Prior experience supporting PEO PAE Maritime IDE environment
