Summit Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior level Tactical Network Transport Instructor to deliver advanced instruction supporting U.S. Army tactical communications training operations. This is a senior-level instructor role designed for experienced tactical network professionals and military technical trainers who are ready to lead from the front of the classroom. Our team delivers mission-critical instruction and technical expertise to ensure operational readiness across DoD tactical network environments. If you have recent hands-on experience with DoD tactical networks and a passion for developing Soldiers in high-impact technical environments, this is your opportunity to make a direct operational impact. This role is ideal for former military communications professionals, signal NCOs, network specialists, and technical instructors with current TRADOC instructor certification. Only U.S. citizens will be considered, as this position requires an active U.S. DoD Secret clearance.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver advanced-level instruction in tactical network transport systems.
Lead hands-on labs, field exercises, and practical evaluations.
Mentor junior instructors and support curriculum improvements.
Train and evaluate adult learners in accordance with Army TRADOC standards.
Maintain compliance with faculty development and installation training requirements.
Contribute to operational readiness through high-quality instruction.
Ensure compliance with institutional training and faculty development requirements.
Support installation-level training operations and staff coordination.
Required Experience
6+ years of instructional experience in a related technical field, military technical training, or vocational/technical environment
OR
4+ years working directly in the tactical network career field
Experience must have occurred between March 2021 – March 2026 (non-consecutive acceptable):
Education Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in a Technical or Business discipline
OR
Eight (8) years of additional experience (beyond minimum requirements) may substitute for degree
Instructor Certification (Current within last 5 Years)
Certification through United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), including
Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC)
Foundation Instructor Facilitator’s Course (FIFC)
Common Faculty Development – Instructor Course (CFD-IC)
Faculty Development Program-1 (as required)
Installation Staff Contractor Course (ISCTC) or equivalent (CTC / SCTC)
Technical Certification Required
(Certification or certification-level training in one or more of the following)
CompTIA Network+
CompTIA Security+
Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching
VMware Certified Professional
Ideal Background
Former Signal Corps NCO or Officer
Senior Tactical Network SME
Experienced Army technical instructor
Strong field and classroom leadership presence
Comfortable mentoring junior cadre
