A consulting firm specializing in business and IT advisory services for federal defense clients is seeking a Senior Program Manager to provide strategic leadership, technical oversight, and operational direction across complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
This role supports technical, engineering, operations, maintenance, and management functions related to network operations and defense-focused initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD) environment, particularly supporting security cooperation or Foreign Military Sales (FMS)–related programs. An active Secret clearance is required.
Key Responsibilities
Support planning and execution of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program activities in alignment with DoD acquisition guidance and security assistance policies
Monitor cost, schedule, and performance metrics throughout the program lifecycle
Provide strategic oversight to ensure mission and operational objectives are met
Serve as liaison among U.S. Government representatives, international partners, and industry stakeholders
Coordinate with implementing agencies and contract management organizations to ensure program alignment and execution
Assist in monitoring funding, expenditures, and financial status across assigned programs
Support acquisition planning, contract tracking, and required documentation
Ensure deliverables meet applicable federal and defense requirements
Identify program risks and oversee mitigation strategies
Prepare and support executive-level briefings, program management reviews, and financial status reports
Ensure compliance with applicable export control laws, federal acquisition regulations, and defense security cooperation policies
Maintain accurate, audit-ready program documentation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent additional experience)
10+ years of program or project management experience, with emphasis on network operations and FMS-related programs
Demonstrated experience within DoD or related federal defense environments
Active Secret security clearance
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work onsite as required
Ability to meet standard physical requirements for an onsite federal environment
