Data Scientist

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Data Scientist to support our client at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL. The Data Scientist will support mission analysts and operational stakeholders by developing analytical models, performing exploratory data analysis, and enabling data - driven decision-making across critical Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) mission areas.

Responsibilities of the Data Scientist include:

· Develop, test, and deploy analytical models to support operational decision-making

· Perform data cleaning, feature engineering, and exploratory analysis on structured and unstructured datasets

· Build repeatable workflows and lightweight data pipelines to support model execution

· Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate analytical findings

· Collaborate with analysts, operators, and technical teams to translate mission needs into data science solutions

· Use Python or similar scripting languages to automate tasks and develop analytical tools

Qualifications for the Data Scientist include:

· 1+ year of experience in data science, analytics, or related technical field

· Experience with Palantir Foundry or other Palantir platforms

· Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages

· Strong understanding of data handling, basic modeling techniques, and SQL

· Experience supporting DoD or special operations environments

· Familiarity with Power BI, Databricks, or other modern data platforms

· Knowledge of MLOps or model deployment concepts

· Must have an active Top Secret clearance

Compensation for the Data Scientist includes:

· Salary Range: $80,000-$125,000 depending on experience
