KBR Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated candidate to provide support to U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM) as the Publications Manager at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. Position ends on 21 Aug 26.

As the Publications Manager, you will be the focal point for all new USSPACECOM publications. The perfect candidate will have a strong background in Publication Management, Records Management, SharePoint, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assign USSPACECOM Instruction (SPI) numbers in accordance with the approved numbering scheme.

• Review all draft publications for formatting and provide assistance as needed.

• Ensure SharePoint has all current publications uploaded into the appropriate locations and maintain the publications index on SharePoint.

• Assist in the creation and tracking of progress on the USSPACECOM Headquarters Capability Plan and Standard Operating Procedures.

• Update Standard Operating Procedures and the Terms of References based on staff updates; maintain SOPs and update on SharePoint.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 5+ years of experience with publications and records management

• SharePoint knowledge and experience

• MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Word, knowledge and experience

• Deep experience in initiating and/or developing Government specified content for USSPACECOM

• Experience in providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations for mission and program challenges

• Has the special skills, knowledge, and comprehension to perform all task functions quickly and accurately without supervision or assistance

• Ability to communicate effectively and concisely using styles and techniques appropriate to the audience

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position

Desired:

• Previous publications experience on a CCMD, MAJCOM, HHQ, Joint Staff, OSD etc. staff highly desired

• Task Management Tool (ETMS2) proficiency

• BA/BS or MA/MS desired

Basic Compensation:

$80-95k

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Work Environment:
  • Location: Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado
  • Travel Requirements: None
  • Working Hours: Standard 40 hours per week

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
