Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a highly motivated individual who will be able to assist the MPE Shift crew in their daily operations.

This position will be based on-site and require shift work and the ability to work and travel between Aurora, Colorado and Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in technical aspects of mission planning and scheduling, mission operations plan development, complex operations procedure and software tool development, telemetry and data review, data and satellite performance and trending analysis.
  • Performs data gathering and complex analysis tasks in support of anomaly and failure review.
  • Develop and implement contingency and recovery plans and procedures.
  • Transfer and manage data files for external users
  • Managing system software and training the MPE shift team
  • Support the customer for any mission/system related needs as well as support the DOMES program for assistance.
  • Responsible for assisting in anomaly resolution and participating in our recallable personnel to assist with anomalies, deployments, and crew support.


Basic Qualification:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.
  • Requires the ability to support a continuously rotating shift schedule including weekends and holidays supporting 24/7 operations.
  • Basic knowledge of SBIRS Sensors and Ground Operations.
  • Experience performing command and control and monitoring satellite state-of-health for multiple assets and experience analyzing collected data.
  • Ability to work and travel between 2 locations in Aurora, CO, and Colorado Springs CO is required.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 Years relevant experience and a bachelor's degree preferably in STEM.
  • Satellite command plan generation and test, telemetry experience, and early-on orbit testing.
  • Mission processing experience and performed post-event analysis.
  • Understands UNIX command language and can perform basic programming in UNIX or PERL.
  • Experience with MATLAB for the performance of data analysis and sensor performance
  • Familiarization with Satellite Toolkit (STK) software.


Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
