We are seeking a senior level Insights Developer to join Northrop Grumman's Insights & Intelligence (i2) organization. This position supports the Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) function and reports to the Manager, CIDO AI & Analytics.
Within CIDO, our AI & Analytics team partners with senior technology leaders across infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, digital engineering, and service management to transform complex operational data into scalable analytic products and AI-enabled decision support tools.
As an Insight Developer, you will design and deliver rigorous analyses, curated data products, and AI-enabled solutions that help CIDO optimize investments, improve operational performance, and accelerate digital transformation in support of our enterprise technology strategy.

This is a hybrid/remote position. Most of our team is based in the Northern Virginia area, and we welcome candidates who can occasionally collaborate in person, but we operate primarily remotely and value flexibility.
This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

What You'll Do
- Partner with CIDO leaders to translate ambiguous operational and strategic questions into structured analytic approaches and solutions.
- Extract, transform, and analyze data from complex enterprise systems (e.g., ITSM platforms, CMDB, infrastructure monitoring tools, DevOps pipelines, cybersecurity systems, financial systems).
- Conduct quantitative analyses using statistical and computational methods to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities.
- Present findings through clear data storytelling tailored to executive and technical audiences.
- Develop and maintain analytic products, dashboards, and automated pipelines that reduce manual reporting and accelerate time-to-insight.
- Define, develop, and govern business metrics and KPIs aligned to enterprise technology goals.
- Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to deploy analytics solutions and support model deployment.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging AI capabilities, and best practices in enterprise analytics.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must have at minimum - a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related professional experience, OR Master's degree with 6 years of related professional experience, OR PhD with 4 years of related professional experience.
- Must have a strong proficiency in SQL for extracting, manipulating, and querying large, complex datasets.
- Must have a strong proficiency in Python (preferred) or R for data analysis, visualization, and automation.
- Must have experience applying quantitative and statistical methods to solve operational or business problems.
- Must have experience developing interactive data visualizations using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Must have demonstrated experience translating ambiguous problems into structured analytic solutions.
- Must have experience developing performance metrics and using them to inform strategic or operational decisions.
- Must have strong data storytelling and executive communication skills.
- Must have experience collaborating across technical and business teams.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
