Description:What You Will Be Doing
As a Manufacturing Engineer - F-16 Tooling Coordinator at Lockheed Martin, you will drive process improvements, optimize manufacturing efficiency, and implement data-driven solutions for the F-16 program. Collaborating across production and engineering teams, you'll play a key role in enhancing quality, reducing production time, and supporting one of the aerospace industry's most iconic programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to coordinate impactful tooling initiatives while contributing to cutting-edge aerospace innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Tooling Coordination:
- Tool Periodic Inspection Coordination; Working with production operations to coordinate and automate the tooling verification process while utilizing shared resources across multiple sites
- Tooling Rework & Repair Coordination; Standup & lead periodic F16 Tool Master reviews to drive cross functional alignment and accountability on rework & repair efforts in progress.
- Provide Schedule & Priority clarification to the Manufacturing Engineering team
- Tooling project integration and resolution
Manufacturing Engineering:
- Identify, plan, and implement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, streamline workflows, and reduce standard and non-standard production hours.
- Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to address challenges, develop solutions, and ensure alignment on process improvement strategies.
- Use data-driven methodologies to identify opportunities for cost reduction, productivity improvements, and corrective actions.
- Develop and execute corrective action plans to address production issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical expertise to optimize manufacturing processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement innovative solutions.
- Uphold Lockheed Martin's quality standards by ensuring all process improvements and manufacturing activities comply with company and regulatory requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Experience working with tooling on a legacy platform
Experience working in a production environment
Project Management experience
Experience briefing Sr leadership on project milestones
Desired Skills:
Supply Chain experience
Experience coordinating multiple complex projects to closure concurrently
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
PMP certification
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret
